Who We Are
STT News is an independent, digitally native news outlet serving St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. We exist because our community deserves journalism that answers to the people — not to the government, not to advertisers, not to anyone with a title and a grudge.
Our Mission
St. Thomas has one legacy newspaper and zero broadcast television news. That means the stories that matter most to our 51,000 residents — infrastructure failures, government accountability, community events, business openings, public safety — often go unreported or underreported. We are here to change that.
How We Work
We combine experienced editorial judgment with modern technology to monitor public records, government press releases, court filings, weather services, and community sources around the clock. Every story is reviewed and edited by a human editor before publication. We follow journalistic standards: verify facts, cite sources, correct errors promptly.
Editorial Independence
STT News accepts no government advertising revenue. Our editorial decisions are made solely by our editorial team. We have no political affiliations, no editorial board with appointed members, and no obligation to anyone except our readers.
